Award-winning photojournalist Tanya Ackerman shares her love affair with South Carolina’s Lowcountry through the lens of her camera. Her images portray the natural beauty of coastal settings and the passions of the people who live there. The stories and emotions captured in her photographs have earned her scores of accolades during her newspaper career. The South Carolina Press Association named her Photojournalist of the Year in the All Weekly Newspaper Division four times since she moved to Pawleys Island as a staff photographer for the Coastal Observer in 2006.
