About the Artist
I began painting four years ago when my wife signed me up for watercolor classes as a gift. She also bought me a membership in the local watercolor society. I am now Treasurer.
I enjoy watercolor because the results often are surprising. Watercolor sometimes seems to paint by itself. My painting all go through an awkward period when they look like an irretrievable mess—sort of like my pre-teen years. But those messes tend to blend together and grow into interesting results.
I have not settled on a style or particular subject matter. I want to try different scenes and techniques, and I hope to keep developing.
