Three Sisters, Three Worlds

Three Sisters, Three Worlds, an exhibition by Nancy Bracken, Sally Field and Donna McIntyre will open Thursday, July 24, with a reception from 5:30 until 7:00 pm at the Prevost Gallery .  The public is invited to attend the reception and meet the artists.

Sisters Nancy, Sally and Donna Knowles grew up together in Jamestown, New York.  Life led them on journies to three different worlds.

Nancy Bracken retired 13 years ago to the South Carolina low country, where she began to study painting with Bruce Chandler.  Nancy recently completed a Doctorate in Healthcare Administration.  "You can't live here and not be an artist.  It is so beautiful,"  she says.

Sally Field is a registered nurse.  She joined the Peace Corps after her two daughters were grown, and she served in many different locales in Africa and Asia.  She loves the medium of photography.  She says:  "My photographs are my way of recording and sharing experiences with others."

Donna McIntyre is an elementary school teacher.  For many years she has studied art extensively and works in almost every medium, including oil and acrylics.  "You must paint what you love and feel passionate about," she says.

Three Sisters, Three Worlds will continue through August 23 during regular gallery hours of 10:00 am through 4:30 pm, Monday through Saturday.
